Description

Deluge Alarm Valve

Statement SK790X Deluge Alarm Valve is a diaphragm type of hydraulic control valve driven by the hydraulic pressure
within the piping system. It functions as a flow control and alarming device in sprinkler and pre-action systems,
starting the sprinkler system for fire suppression and triggering fire alarms when fire is detected.
Operational Principle Equipped with solenoid, anti-reset controller, mini strainer, ball valves, and pressure gauges.

Set Condition: Ball valve (3) open; valves (7), (8), (9) closed; anti-reset controller connected; gauges (1) & (6) show same value.
Work Condition: Triggered by opening solenoid valve (8), ball valve (7), or remote valve (9), releasing pressure and opening the valve for water flow, alarm, and signal transmission.

Properties & Advantages
  • Automatic operation using pipe system pressure (energy saving & eco-friendly).
  • Controlled by pilot valve with low energy consumption & stable pressure reducing.
  • Dual cavity design for smooth operation without pressure fluctuation.
  • Straight-flow channel minimizes friction, cavitation, vibration, and noise.
  • High durability with ductile iron castings, stainless steel, copper alloys, and DuPont rubber.
  • Fusion bonded epoxy coating (ANSI/AWWA C550) for superior corrosion resistance.
Notes for Installation & Debugging
  • Check pressure switch & alarm bell before installation to avoid leaks.
  • Ensure anti-reset controller is sealed and functional before pressurizing.
  • Adjust ball valves to ensure the valve is in set condition before use.
Common Problems & Solutions Problem: Water leakage after pressing anti-reset controller.
Solutions:

  • Check sealing surfaces of valve or controller for damage/sundries.
  • Check diaphragm condition.
  • Ensure valves (7), (8), (9) are fully closed.

Problem: No water discharge when opening valves (7), (8), (9).
Solutions:

  • Check if valves (7), (8), (9) are actually opened.
  • Inspect stem of basic valve for blockage and repair if needed.
